Absolutely love this place and the staff. They have a Great craft beer selection. They even sell growlers. The food is excellent. Great chicken tortilla soup, best wings around and the steak and prime rib rock. I haven't had anything I didn't enjoy. Great deserts. Go there at least once a week. Highly recommend.
Posting again because this restaurant/bar is by far the food gem of the Mon Valley. Sure, we love The Back Porch when our pockets are deep or on special occasions. However, for us, The River House is a sure & very frequent visit for us. Their filet mignon is by far the best we have had. And we are travelers n eaters! Three brother chefs, owners Mike & Lori, & the servers are a well-oiled machine, striving to make your dining experience a pleasure! We feel like family and this is our Cheers-style bar! Great cocktails. Love the stromboli. Great place for medium sized parties to gather. Last we went we had 12-15 they seated us fine and got us our food super quick too!
Good food but horrible service. Everything I was brought out was cold.... didn't taste even warm. Sat at the bar which is usually a safe bet dining alone..... poor girl was the only bar tender trying to serve a busy restaurant booze on a Saturday night (100+ people) and a large bar full of hungry and thirsty patrons.... just bad. She was even responsible for the high tops that surrounded the bar.... amazing you keep help.
This place is amazing. Great food and cocktails. Everything always fresh. Awesome pizza. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I can't say enough good about this place.
